How do I get to Tamworth?
Qantas flies to Tamworth airport from Sydney or Jetgo flies direct from Brisbane.
Countrylink Trains and Greyhound Coaches also have services to Tamworth.

Is there a bar at the venue?
BYO Food/Nibblies/Non-Alcoholic drinks during the day.
Strictly NO BYO at night. There will be a bar on-site serving alcohol.

Yes, just let us know your dietary requirements when booking your ticket.

Considering a balcony ticket?
Please note: This is a spectator pass only for non-dancers. Unfortunately, they are restricted from entering the main dance floor area.

Why do we need a served meal on Saturday night?
Unfortunately, this is to do with state liquor laws. If we didn't serve a meal, and still have alcohol available at the socials, we would need to employ two (2) security guards from the time doors open in the morning to the time the last person leaves at the night. As you can imagine, 2 staff for 15 hours each day, 4 days of the weekend, this cost is quite substantial. For 2022, this cost alone would have been as much as the cost of the meals.
Ticket prices will remain the same, but you wouldn't have food.
Something to note: There may be added delay in entering as security will need to check all bags coming into the venue.

What is the size of the Competition dance floor?

What is the age difference for Mixed Age sections?
15 years. Age is determined as your age at the time of the competition​

How old does the routine need to be for Throwback Duo?​
Over 10 years, in a recognised Australian competition.​

If I only compete in one section, do I need to purchase support crew/spectator tickets?
You will need to purchase a spectator ticket on the days you are not dancing if you want to sit on the main floor.​

If support crew/spectators 5 years old & under are free, do they still need a ticket?

When can we purchase spectator passes?
Spectator passes will be made available to purchase after the entries closing date.

What is the cost of the spectator passes?
A three-day (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) pass prices (pre-order only through the competition entry page):
$25 Adult
$15 Child (5-15 yo)
Children Under 5 Free
A day pass (available at the door): $10 per person
**Please note: these are presale prices only - if purchasing weekend passes at the door there will be a price increase.

What can I do if my duo/trio/team member has contracted COVID & can no longer attend?
If a competitor tests positive for covid or has to isolate we are allowing substitute dancers. Even if that substitute is already performing in the same section and if they do not meet the age requirements.

When do competitors need to arrive?
Competitors will need to be ready to dance on Thursday.
